Barnstock welcomes trumpeter Chris Pasin to the stage on Saturday, May 22 @ 5pm!
Trumpeter Chris Pasin’s career goes from his study at New England Conservatory, to touring with a variety of artists, to the upper Hudson Valley music and recording scene, where he currently resides.
He’s performed at Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater, the Royal Albert Hall, the Village Vanguard, Ronnie Scott’s, and the Blue Note, among others.
As a student, his influences, and performances were with the likes of Gunther Schuller, Jaki Byard, George Russell, Jimmy Giuffre, Ran Blake, and Miroslav Vitous, among others. This included performances at the Village Vanguard with the George Russell New York band.
Several years after this were spent riding the Buddy Rich bus touring the US, and the world, as the jazz trumpet soloist. Performances with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughn, Nancy Wilson, and Ray Charles also took place during this period.
